On the Move @ Kin Khao, San Francisco

Kin Khao is the new IT Thai restaurant in San Francisco. Rightfully so, especially with its creamy mushroom mousse with rice crispies or also called as Mushroom Hor Mok. Although the location inside Parc 55 Hotel and across another Thai resto is a bit odd, Kin Khao is not your regular Americanized Thai meal. The flavors and fresh ingredients permeate on every dish. I'm definitely planning to come back here to try the noodles and curries. I just wonder how the neighborhood feels about having two Thai restaurants right across each other. Hmmm.


Nice touch with the monkey on the side.
I wasn't too impressed with the Khao Mun Gai or chicken fat rice, which was a similar take to Hainanese chicken.

Big fan of this black bean dessert with three different sauces. Yum!
