Hustle Your Way to Trestle

If you are looking to impress a date, come to Trestle. First off, no one can't beat its 3-course meal priced at $35 per person, which includes an appetizer, entree and a dessert. It's worth every penny and by far the cheapest, high quality prix-fixe in the city. Vegetarians can also easily be accommodated in this establishment- plus points since I was with my vegetarian eating buddy, sssourabh

On a side note, I have a fascination with Trestle's gold emblazoned logo, which reminded me of my ultimate cartoon favorite, Winne the Pooh, holding a balloon. Yes, I'm a sucker for bears who giddily hop around!

Tip: To get reservations here without having to plan two months out, opt for non-peak dining hours. Ours was at 9:45 pm. We were running late from our pre-dinner shenanigans and phoned the restaurant about our tardiness. We got here 30 minutes late but had no problem getting seated.

A lovely presentation of the falafel salad with a not-so crispy lavash, tzatziki and mint.
Pan-seared scallops with fingerling potatoes, corn and chimichurri vinaigrette. The chimichurri sauce gave this a kick.
A deconstructed brown butter financier with lemon curd, blueberry compote and vanilla ice cream. I was bothered by surprising hints of really sour lemon.
Trestle is also part of Opentable's Summer Road Trip Guide. The summer season in San Francisco has been abnormally warm, but I'm definitely looking forward to an extended Indian Summer in this city by the Bay.
