As I winded down, I pampered myself in Ascent's large, black-and-white themed bathroom, featuring a rain shower head, and then moisturized my sensitive skin with the hotel's lotion from Beekman 1802, which is touted as the world’s largest goat milk bodycare brand. 

The serene community that encapsulates Ascent on Main is the quintessential environment not only for travelers passing through the area but also for remote workers. For the next few days, I powered through while working from my hotel room with The Douglas' Winter Chop, a hearty yet healthy salad rendition with root vegetables, and the popular pot pie, a unique twist to a decadent, classic dish but with braised rabbit and all the fixings, like gravy, celery and carrots. My room's balcony, which opens out to an unobstructed view of the blue skies, was an added bonus for getting some fresh air in between meetings.
