Pardon me as I write this with a woozy state-of-mind after coming off a brutal 33-hour flight. Without further ado, here is an introduction of my gastronomic travels in the land of great whites and African bush elephants. Traveling to this part of the world is really all about getting acquainted with game meats, such as kudu (bobotie), ostrich (bolognaise) and wildebeest (pate), and affordable South African wines. Oh, did I mention deep fried mopani caterpillars are also on the menu?

After 5 years of running this blog and the encouragement of many readers, I've finally decided to publish a coffeetable book by end of 2016. Because I'm really a photographer first (and a writer second), I will focus on photographs with factoids of exotic, healthy foods that many have not heard of, including mopani caterpillars from Zambia, moringa from Ghana, coconut sugar from the Philippines, mate de coca from Peru and many more.
