New French Restaurants in San Francisco

I've been making my rounds to try the latest French bistros in town. Urchin Bistrot, located on the bustling Mission district, fared well with their sea urchin pasta with yolk. It reminded me of the Japanese uni pasta sauce I used to get at the Japanese grocery store but with sea urchin. I was expecting more urchin on the menu but that didn't happen. Wouldn't it be awesome to have urchin on my cocktail too?

My next trip was at another bustling neighborhood in Hayes Valley for Monsieur Benjamin.  It is not an authentic French restaurant, mind you, but I am glad to see French staples, such as the escargot, frog legs and crepes and beignets for dessert. I just wish that the greater San Francisco population would dress up more so these aforementioned restaurants will have a better, fashionable French vibe. C'est la vie!
