Summer Lovin' at 32 Villa, Taipei

Known for its hot springs, Beitou has public and private hot spring resorts. My pick upon a friend's recommendation is 32 Villa, a 15-minute walk from the Xinbeitou MRT station that is an all-in-one hotel/restaurant/hot spring resort.

As we entered the nondescript doorway, we were greeted with a manicured garden and serene waterfall walkway to the lobby. We were right on time for our 5 pm hot spring appointment so we were quickly shown to the locker room area to change. Taking photos inside the nude hot spring area are not allowed so the images of the entrance will have to do.

Welcome to 32 Villa.
This area looks lovelier at night.
Rejuvenate the Mind
So what does a hot spring resort have to do with my food blog? Well, as you know, rejevenating the soul and the mind is important in body conditioning. Keeping yourself well-hydrated during hot and cold dips, ranging from 20 to 40 degree celsius, in real spring water is a must. They also have a lounge room where you can munch on some snacks and healthy fruits, yoga room and sleeping pods. Their courteous staff also let me peeked in their bustling fine-dining restaurant, which was full of couples who were obviously on their date night.

I just wished that I had more time to spend at 32 Villa, but alas, I had to jetset to my next pitstop for dinner at Mume. 'Til we meet again!
