On the Move @ Cooking Papa, Santa Clara

(Oh look ma, I've ventured out down south just to eat!) Yes, I don't typically venture out this far south just to get some lunch grub. But I was driven here so not complaining.

Cooking Papa is your typical Chinese restaurant- loud and bustling... even the table besides us were speaking in rapid Cantonese trying to argue who should pay what. Right when I entered, I saw a majority of Chinese folks so you can tell this place serves authentic Chinese cuisine.

One of the downfall of this restaurant (and many Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area) is the MSG.  I had to chug my tapoica/red bean drink plus water to tone down the side effects of this nasty seasoning. tsk tsk tsk!

Overall: Reasonably priced authentic Cantonese food. Don't forget to order the puff pastry dessert, which is what Cooking Papa is famous for, although I would prefer a cream in the middle for different textures.
