It has been raining cats and dogs in this part of the world so it is time for some good ol' fried chicken and waffles. This one from the Home of Chicken and Waffles in Jack London Square, Oakland is a bit bland. Nothing has come close ever since I tried the one at Emeril's in New Orleans. The waffles need to be fluffier and there was no kick to the chicken. Thank goodness I was with some of my oldest friends and had a fun time catching up with them.
