On the move @ Greenburgers

Fish n Chips with Onion Rings
Visited the 1+ week old Greenburgers down in Haight St. of San Francisco. I'd have to say that I admire mom-and-pop shops opening at this time of the economy, but obviously as with many new businesses, there are still many kinks to be ironed.

The spacious Greenburgers is a good place to hang out and chill with your loved ones on a lazy weekend. It didn't seem too buzy nor too loud even with the kids at the other table. I like their use of old 1960s stove and antique looking Coca-Cola display where patrons can serve themselves with condiments, add more lettuce, tomatoes or pickles and take kitchen utensils.

I got the fish n chips sandwich with onion rings. The food always speaks for itself- evidently you can see that my onion rings are shrunken (made me wonder if they were out far too long in open air before it got in front of me or did the chef just sliced it too thin to the point I couldn't even tell if there were real onions in the fried batter. Two of my friends got the sweet potato fries on the side. One looked healthier, plumper with a lively orangey color than the other). Back to my fish, I didn't find anything that tasted special aside from the small bone I took out from one of the fillets. Thank gawd I had a good time catching up with friends.

So not me to not be able to finish my meal - I left the half of the bun and shrunken onion rings on the plate. Maybe, I'll come to Greenburgers for another visit after a year and see what improvements have been made.

Happy Saturday!
